The FAA Level 2 Award provides learners with knowledge and confidence to handle an Emergency situation if they happen in respect of BLS and First Aid for Mental Health

  • 3 Hour Course

  • Annual refresher needed for Health Care professionals unless they hold a current EFAW or FAW certificate

 

Covid-19: Updated Training Guidance


Whilst the restrictions and guidelines vary between each nation, the requirements for training are common in each, so our guidance at present for the whole of the UK is for training to only go ahead when it is deemed essential and cannot be delayed. During the lockdown many businesses are still operating and are required to meet the HSE requirements in respect of first aid and other training, to allow them to continue to operate. Where training is deemed essential then it can go ahead, but if it can be delayed then it should be until safe to do so. The decision as to whether training is essential must be employer led and where training does go ahead, training providers must adhere to the FAA COVID-19 classroom requirements (available on request).

Our training courses provide clear evidence to employers, patients and people who receive care and support that the health or social care support worker in front of them has been assessed against a specific set of standards and has demonstrated they have the skills, knowledge and behaviours to ensure that they provide compassionate and high quality care and support.

First Aid for Mental Health - FAA Level 2 (RQF) 

 This 1-Day course covers the content of the Level 1 course (A ½-Day course aimed at providing learners with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation and be able to signpost the person towards professional help) but also expands on the effects of drugs and alcohol, incorporates the First Aid for Mental Health Action Plan and covers ways in which a positive mental health culture can be supported within a workplace.
