Autism and Disability Awareness

This 1/2 day course focuses on the reason for this training and how it has become mandatory training within the care industry.

It includes facts and figures around autism and disability, how Autism is different for each person, including;
 

• Person Centered Care 

• The Triad of impairments 

• The 5 main types of Autism and what each one is, the key features and potential causes

• Supporting an Individual living with ASD

• Communicating with an Individual living with ASD

• The difference between learning disabilities and learning difficulties and the possible causes

• Potential challenging behaviours and the triggers

• Supporting and Individual living with a learning disability/learning difficulty
